As in previous years, the proceeds of the 2025 Thembisa Mile will go towards the Thembisa Athletic Club’s annual December training camp.

This camp helps prepare the club’s 68 junior, youth, and sub-youth athletes for the upcoming season.

Central Gauteng Athletics acting president Karabo Mabilo, also voiced her support, commending both the Thembisa Mile and the Thembisa Athletic Club for their tireless efforts in nurturing future champions through CGA’s cross country and track and field league meetings.

“This partnership could not have come at a better time,” Mabilo said.

Following the sold-out success of the 2024 event, which saw 3 000 participants, Thembisa Mile organisers announced the 2025 event will cater to 4 000 runners and walkers.
Entries will open in July.
