Norkem Park Primary dominates Ferramere at Norkem Festival Netball
This convincing win boosts their tournament standing and reinforces their reputation as a formidable netball team in Kempton Park school sports.
The spirit of victory soared at the Norkem Festival when Norkem Park Primary School delivered a commanding performance against Ferramere Primary School.
From the first whistle, Norkem seized every opportunity to widen the gap and establish themselves as the stronger side.
The match played out in two halves, with Norkem Park asserting dominance early on. Farramere tried to fight back, scoring once in the first half, but the home team proved too competitive and disciplined.

Norkem Park coach Vanessa Townsley was proud of her team’s effort and growth, “I think the team came together today and worked hard. They communicated well and discussed improvements from the last game.
“Our opponents played well and didn’t make it easy. Moving forward, I’d like our girls to use the full court better and space out more effectively.”
By halftime, Norkem had built a solid 6-1 lead, capitalizing on their chances and leaving Ferramere chasing the game.

Farramere returned in the second half with renewed determination, briefly making the match more challenging.
However, they couldn’t convert any chances into goals. Norkem quickly regained control, adding three more goals to seal a 9-1 victory.

Team captain Keamogetswe Kgomo reflected on the match with pride and a desire to improve, “I think we played really well. I enjoyed this game more than others, but I know I can still improve. I made a few mistakes, but overall, I’m proud of my team’s performance,” she said.

Despite Farramere’s efforts, Norkem’s relentless energy and precision secured a convincing win, boosting their tournament standing and reinforcing their reputation as a team to watch.
