Peet bought this car 18 months ago. It was in a very poor condition, but he has fully restored it. This is only one of 17 vehicles Peet owns, all of which are in mint condition.
Some interesting facts:
• This car was converted to a bakkie during World War II in order to qualify for a petrol permit – normal cars did not qualify.
• 1926 was the first year that Chevrolet fitted steel wheels; prior to this they used wooden-spoke wheels.
• The car has a 2,8 litre, four-cylinder engine with a three-speed gearbox.
• The car only has brakes on its rear wheels.
• The car only reaches a top speed of 69 km/h.
