Life-threatening injuries reported after Dan Pienaarville collision

Emergency services responded swiftly as three people were injured, including an elderly woman who suffered life-threatening injuries.

A serious crash occurred at the intersection of Hekpoort Road and Robert Broom Drive in Dan Pienaarville this morning, August 24.

The Krugersdorp News is currently on the scene, where a bakkie and a Mercedes-Benz collided at about 09:10.

According to Mogale Fire and Rescue acting station officer Morné van Heerden, three people were injured.

He said two people sustained serious injuries, while an elderly woman sustained life-threatening injuries.

Public Safety, police, towing responders and the fire department are currently on the scene monitoring the situation.

Van Heerden said all three injured patients have since been transported to nearby hospitals.
