Millennium’s young wordsmiths shine at spelling bee
Two Millies spellers proved their word power after advancing through tough early stages of a regional competition.
Grade Seven learners Ayanda Molefe and Mmakhudu Masupha represented Laerskool Millennium Primary School at the District Spelling Bee on August 27, demonstrating exceptional literacy skills.
Both advanced to the second round, while Ayanda progressed to round 14, where only 13 participants remained.
Grade Seven teacher Anca Wolmarans said the competition helps learners improve their spelling, expand their vocabulary, and develop a deeper understanding of English.
Anca expressed immense pride in how far both learners had come in the competition.
