Delivery van crashes through wall
The driver of a delivery van loses control of his vehicle and crashes through the wall of a property.

The driver of a van transporting pharmaceuticals lost control of his vehicle and ended up crashing through the wall of a business on the Voortrekker Road service road.
After the crash, which occurred at the corner of Jorissen and Wolmarans Streets on 8 July, four tow trucks came to the driver’s rescue.
“In the 12 years we have owned this property, this is the first accident,” says Brian Franklin, owner of the property.
The owner believes the driver should be thankful since the wall does not require a lot of repairs because of its solid foundation.
The intersection has had its fair share of accidents in the past years, but never has a business on the service road had a vehicle crashing through one of its walls.
The driver of the van is believed to be working for Alpha Pharm pharmaceuticals, transporting medication back and forth.
He was lucky to escape the accident with minor injuries and was rushed to the nearest hospital by Netcare 911 for further medical treatment.
As the collision only damaged a section of the three-metres high wall, the owner of the property believes that it will not cost much to repair.
The exact cause of the accident is still unknown.
