Help break the world record
All visitors are requested to bring any brand of bagged or canned pet food as their contribution.
In collaboration with Complete Pet Food, the Pet & Me Expo, taking place from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 October , will attempt to break a Guinness World Record for The most amount of pet food collected over a seven day period.
South Africa will be competing against the United States’ existing record.
The collection drive takes place during this week leading up to the Pet& Me Expo, which starts on Friday at the Coca-Cola Dome. All visitors are requested to bring any brand of bagged or canned pet food as their contribution and hand it over at the entrance to the show.
Collection stations will be set up at Northgate Dome, Complete Dog Food outlets and various supermarkets across Gauteng. With the assistance of our generous sponsors Complete Dog Food, we are targeting over 15 tons of food which will be delivered to NPOs to alleviate some of their obstacles faced every day.

Start that office/school challenge now!
We challenge all corporates to join in and be a part of this seven-day collection – if you manage to collect more than 500kgs of food and drop it off at the event, your company/school will receive a personalised certificate to acknowledge the generous donation. In addition, you will be invited to join the Pet&Me Expo organisers for a media opportunity at the final count at 4pm on Sunday 11 October.
The Guinness World Record attempt big count takes place at 4pm on Sunday at the fabulous new Pet&Me Lifestyle Expo is the first of its kind, combining pet lovers’ interests with lifestyle extras.
The West Rand collection point is situated at West Rand Central Produce in Krugersdorp.
