Krugersdorp alleged murderer at large

Members of the public are warned not approach this man.

The Hawks are appealing to members of the public for information that could lead to the arrest of an extremely dangerous suspect who escaped from the Palm Ridge Court on Monday 21 October.

“Vusimuzi Tshepo Genge (30) was to stand trial for violent and serious crimes committed in Randfontein and Krugersdorp, which include murder, house robbery, business robbery, hijacking and attempted murder,” says SAPS spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini.

“He is approximately 1,9m tall and well-built, and his last known address is in Kagiso.”

It is believed that he is armed and members of the public are warned not to confront him but to contact the police when they see him. Anyone who has information is urged to contact the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Peet Venter from the Hawks on 071603 8808 or 011 951 1939.

Information also may be forwarded anonymously to Crime Stop on 086 001 10111 or by SMS to Primedia Crime Line at 32211 at all hours.

A case of escaping is being investigated. Police have launched an internal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s escape.

Members of the public are warned that the suspect is considered aggressive and dangerous.
