DA PR (Party Representative) Councillor in Munsieville, Neo Magodielo, intervened swiftly when a tree fell on two shacks in Munsieville’s Ward 24 at 2am on 22 October.
The tree destroyed both dwellings but no one was harmed during the accident.
He tackled the problem head on.
When Magodielo approached the Municipality’s Parks Department for urgent assistance, the official response was immediate.
The Parks Department indicated that he was the first to report the matter to them.
The Councillor proceeded to look for sponsors to assist the families to rebuild their homes. An anonymous good Samaritan donated timber and nails to Magodielo.
The relieved councillor handed over the donation to the families who eagerly started to rebuild their homes.
