Music school students excell
Six students of the School @ Marshall Music have reached the second round of a championship.
Six students of the School @ Marshall Music will be battling it out in the next round of the South African Championships of Performing Arts to gain a place to represent South Africa in Los Angeles.
Candice Taylor, the director at the school says that she is very proud of her students. Everyone who auditioned for the South African Championships have made it to the next round, which will be held in Rustenburg during the first week of April. The South African team will be chosen at this event.
“I am very proud of them and even though we only have opened the Krugersdorp branch about eight months ago they are already on competing level.”
Claire Ninow, Liza Combrin, Lyra Riekert and Teliza Korff have entered the vocals category while Nathan van Blommestein and Sasha Peaceful entered the drums category.
“We look forward to entering students for the modelling, drama and musical theatre dancing categories next year as we are now a complete performing arts centre,” says Candice.
“Watch this space, we are ready to show the world that there is talent in the little town of Krugersdorp. The judges complimented us on our talented students,” she boasts.
