Curro Krugersdorp welcomes sunrise with faith and reflection

The sunrise gathering allowed learners, parents, and staff to reflect, worship and strengthen bonds within the school community.

The Curro Krugersdorp family, including both the primary and high schools, marked Ascension Morning on Thursday, May 14, with a meaningful sunrise gathering centred on reflection, gratitude and shared faith.

Learners arrived alongside their families, while staff members also attended with their loved ones, creating a strong sense of togetherness and community.

In a peaceful and reverent atmosphere, attendees lifted their voices in song as they commemorated the ascension of Jesus. The calmness of the morning created an opportunity for reflection and thanksgiving.

Executive head Annemarie Lombard described the gathering as an unforgettable experience.

“What a special, emotional moment. Watching the sun rise and reflecting on all that the Lord Jesus has done for us was a moment we will forever cherish,” said Annemarie.

The gathering served as a reminder of the importance of faith, unity and reflection within the school community. The presence of learners, families and staff further strengthened the sense of community at the school.

The school also thanked everyone who attended and contributed towards making the morning memorable.
