The 2014 National Election, sometime during April or May, is the most important election since 1994.
“The current government clearly has failed to deliver on the promises it made during the 2009 National Elections and generally the current rate of corruption and criminal activity is a clear indication that the government is no longer in control of its own deployed cadres,” says Krugersodrp DA Caucus Leader Dennis Pretorius.
“The education system has failed, the pupils and matric results are no longer credible. The economy is not able to deliver jobs for school-leavers and the levels of crime have reached alarming proportions.”
The choice of the electorate in May will be between a governing party that has failed the electorate and a party that has proven that it can govern the Western Cape, one of the most populous and efficient provinces.
“Essentially it will be a two-horse race between the DA and the ANC.
“The DA can win Gauteng and the Northern Province but only if the supporters of the DA register to vote during the weekend of 8 and 9 February. This is a crucial election – you have to register and then you have to vote for a party that has proven that it can govern a province well and deliver quality services to residents.
“You can make a difference by encouraging your family and friends to do so too – it is the right thing to do!
“The DA will have representatives at all the voting stations,” ends Pretorius.
