Enthusiasm in Kagiso wards for DA

Margaret has been assisted by a DA staff member Palesa Monkge to train DA activists and volunteers in the three wards.

Mogale City Municipality is divided into several wards. This demarcation makes it easier for councillors to perform their duties.

The number of councillors is determined by the number of votes cast during municipal elections. More votes mean that more councillors are allocated to a municipality.

A DA branch was launched in Ward 7 last year. DA PR Councillor Margaret Mohube is responsible for Wards 4, 5 and 7 in Kagiso 2, and she will be establishing DA branches in the adjacent wards during the course of 2014.

She drives issues related to the Democratic Alliance as well as the local municipality with diligence, and the enthusiasm of DA branch members encourages her to continue serving her community.

Margaret has been assisted by a DA staff member Palesa Monkge to train DA activists and volunteers in the three wards for the nation-wide voter registration and election campaign. The turnout at the voter registration training sessions that took place on 17 and 24 January respectively was amazing. Campaigning is also taking place in the respective wards.

“It is overwhelming to see people in townships being so positive in their support of the DA,” Margaret proudly commented.
