Three injured in collision
Three people walked away with minor to moderate injuries following a collision in Mindalore.
Three people, including a 10-year-old boy were injured following a head-on collision in afternoon traffic in Mindalore on Tuesday 8 April.
The victims sustained mild to moderate injuries in the collision at the corner of Trezona Avenue and Gregor Street.
West Suburbs Neighbourhood Watch assisted police to cordon off the streets as paramedic attended to all the patients. Motorists were directed to alternative roads.
According to one of the injured, Lorrain Labuschagne a Mazda travelling from Gregor Street allegedly collided with her Geely as she was travelling towards Trezona Avenue.
The impact caused injuries to Labuschagne’s hand while her son smashed his head against the windscreen.
The driver of the Mazda was unable to comment but according to eyewitnesses, he was treated on the scene for a wound to the back of his head.
None of the patients were transported to hospital as they received the medical care they required on scene.
Both drivers submitted statements to the police for further investigation.
