Most important election in history
Voters have an incredible opportunity to determine the future of Gauteng.

In three short weeks South Africans will assemble in queues again to make a very important decision – a decision that will shape South Africa’s future.
“In 1994 we had to make a similar decision – “Yes” or “No” to a new democracy with universal suffrage. With hindsight it was a very easy decision – the alternative was just ‘too ghastly to contemplate’,” says Krugersdorp’s DA Caucus leader Councillor Dennis Pretorius.
“I believe that we are confronted by a similar choice – a vote for a failed state created by ANC rule or for the DA – a party that manages a province and its municipalities highly efficiently. On the one hand we have a government associated with excessive spending and rampant corruption, a president who has lost credibility, heading a government of cronyism and nepotism.”
Pretorius believes that one should rather support a party that has shown that it can create employment, can control spending and can deliver services where it governs; a party that asks you to give it the opportunity to govern Gauteng for the next five years.
“Voters have an incredible opportunity to determine the future of Gauteng – choose between a failed ANC province with toll roads, corruption, unbridled crime and poor service delivery – or a DA province of opportunity and hope in the future.”
Helen Zille, the DA’s National Leader and Mmusi Maimane, its Premier Candidate for Gauteng, invite you to vote for the DA on 7 May.
