Could this be the load shedding schedule?

According to an Eskom schedule power might be out tomorrow morning.

No load shedding schedule has yet been posted on Mogale City Local Municipality’s website.

Despite this the news managed to find a time schedule indicating that load shedding is due to be implemented in the city from 6am till 10.30am tomorrow 5 December.

Unfortunately this could not be confirmed and therefore we are requesting our readers to let us know whether their lights do go out at these – or earlier – times in the comment section below the article.

Andrew Etzinger, Eskom’s spokesperson said that it is unfortunately necessary for the power giant to implement stage two load shedding, which means that the company is allowed to shed 2 000 MW of power at different intervals from 5am till 9.30pm from Monday to Saturday.

Etzinger told fin24 that diesel reserves are depleted and are therefore experiencing a difficult situation as diesel is needed to run the open cycle gas turbines.

This comes just after a coal silo at the Majuba Power Station, the newest and largest power plant in the country, collapsed. Apparently another silo is showing signs of deterioration at this power station the trade union Solidarity warned.

What is your view about Eskom’s continuous load shedding?
