[VIDEO]: Asian aeroplane missing, another make emergency landing
An aeroplane en route to the United States of America had to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom.
While the search is on for an Indonesian aeroplane which allegedly crash landed into the Java Sea, yesterday 28 December a plane en route to America had to make an emergency landing almost two hours ago.
The SABC reports that an aeroplane of the Virgin Atlantic Airlines had to make an emergency landing after experiencing technical problems with its chassis. The problem affected part of the 747’s right main landing gear.
The aeroplane, which was on its way to Las Vegas in the United States of America, was therefore forced to return to the Gatwick Airport in the United Kingdom.
The Boeing 747 had circled the airport to burn off fuel before making a bumpy but safe landing.
The SABC said that more than 20 ambulances and fire-and-rescue crews have been on standby and is currently still on the scene.
Aircraft due to land at Gatwick are being diverted to other London airports, while departing flights are being delayed the BBC reported.
In the mean time search-and-rescue personnel from four different countries are still searching for a missing aeroplane which allegedly crash landed in the Java Sea.
This flight of AirAsia with 162 people on board is allegedly lying at the bottom of the sea – no wreckage has yet been found.
AirAsia is a sister company of the Malaysian Air which experienced two different air tragedies where 537 people in total allegedly died.
Earlier this month two people have died in Krugersdorp when their aircraft, a Bonanza F33A crash landed in the mountainous area of Munsieville after taking off from the Jack Taylor Airfield.
An eyewitness told the news that the aeroplane had stalled twice before it crashed into the ground.
