The electricity to the West Rand Health Offices was interrupted for about two weeks due to an alleged non payment.
After receiving several calls from concerned members of the community the news visited the offices, only to be informed the power was restored.
The News noticed the lights indeed were burning.
Sandile Gwayi, the West Rand District Principal Communication Officer said the electricity interruption was limited only to the administrative office of the district management.
“At no time was any health facility affected by the interruption. The reason for this interruption was outstanding payment to the Mogale City Local Municipality due to a prolonged payment process, which was beyond the district management’s control.”
