Krugersdorp residents have taken to social media to complain about the power outage they are currently experiencing.
Some concerned residents contacted the News, worried that it might be Eskom implementing load shedding again.
According to Nkosana Zali, municipal spokesperson for Mogale City Local Municipality, the heavy storm of early this morning is the cause of the power outage.
“We have technicians who are working on the problem and hope to have power restored very soon.”
The affected areas seems to be Kenmare, Pinehaven, Monument, Breaunanda, Factoria, Mindalore, Lewisham, Luipaardsvlei and Silverfields.
