The power utility Eskom announced that load shedding will be implemented today 25 March as a last resort to protect the power system.
An extra electricity demand and generators that are not fully operational is apparently to blame.

In a tweet Eskom explained that stage 2 needs to be implemented starting from 4pm until 10pm.
“We will only load shed what is required,” the tweet further stated.
It further stated any additional changes on the already vulnerable and constrained power system could lead to a change in the stage at short notice.

Eskom already mentioned this morning there is a medium to high probability of load shedding today and was dependent on the performance of the power plant.
It is unclear exactly when and if Mogale City will experience load shedding.
