City hosting statue clean-up initiative

A clean-up campaign has been initiated by city council.

Following yesterday’s, 15 April, statue defacing near Key West shopping centre, Mogale City council has initiated a clean-up campaign and calls upon community members to help.

Mogale City residents who truly embrace the values of unity, peace and prosperity bequeathed on us by Nelson Mandela, Walter Sisulu, Oliver Tambo are invited to join the municipality as they clean the defaced statues of Paul Kruger and JG Strijdom at 9am this morning.

Members of the National Heritage Council are also expected to be there.
