New school bags and goodies for school girls

African Bank gives back to the community, hoping they make a lasting impression.

In light of it being Women’s Month, African Bank surprised Town View High School’s matric girls with goodie bags.

African Bank, which collapsed in August last year, is now back with a bang, said regional manager Elize Pienaar.

The Key West branch decided to give back to the community in light of Women’s Month and the bank’s need for young women to affiliate themselves with the bank

“Many students pay their tertiary fees with money loaned from Africn Bank,” Elize said.

The giveaway raised awareness to the bank, who wanted to show their appreciation to young women and empower them to become future leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs and business women.

“We embarked on this journey to uplift women at an early age to reach their potential,” Nontobeko Ndaba, from the Key West branch, said.

As the excitement died down, the matrics prepared to write their Afrikaans exam in the school hall.

With bright smiles on their faces, African Bank wished the matrics well and reminded them that nothing is out of reach if you have the determination and willingness to make a difference.
