3 vehicles recovered after Chamdor business robbery

Two suspects were arrested after security and police traced the vehicles to different locations following the incident.

Three vehicles were recently recovered by private security and law enforcement following a tip-off about a business robbery and hijacking in Adcock Street, Chamdor on August 19.

According to Help 24 CEO Sheldon Grobler, information received indicated that one of the business’s vehicles was taken during the robbery.

A multidisciplinary team consisting of police members and Help 24 security guards pursued the suspects. The first vehicle was recovered within minutes of the robbery after the suspects allegedly abandoned it in Kagiso.

Further information led the teams to Main Reef Road in Chamdor, where the second vehicle was recovered and two suspects were arrested.

The third vehicle was recovered shortly afterwards after it was also abandoned by the suspects.

Grobler confirmed that an investigation is underway to identify and bring the remaining suspects to justice.
