Two young women in accident last night

No one was injured, but both the vehicles were damaged.

At around 7pm last night two young women were involved in an accident at the intersection of Viljoen Street and Paardekraal Drive, which held up traffic coming from all directions.

Both were uninjured, but when the News arrived on scene, they visibly were in shock. Their vehicles were damaged due to the impact.

One driver was heading towards Viljoen Street and the other towards Voortrekker Road when they collided.

The young woman driving towards Viljoen Street said she was driving with her hazard lights on because her car was giving her trouble. The other young woman, remarkably with the same name, misunderstood the intentions of the driver coming towards her, which led to the collision.

Gauteng Emergency Services, along with police and Help24 were on scene.

The scene was cleared about half an hour later, allowing traffic to flow normally again.
