Charity always win on golf days

R75 000 in funds raised in a successful golf day tournament.

Lombard Tyres and numerous of its associates took to the golf course to play a round in aid of charity.

The last of four golf days attracted a full field of golfers at the Krugersdorp Golf Club on 29 October in aid of generating funds for a local charity.

Mauritz Lombard, the founder of The Red Shirts Charity Golf Club, proudly handed over a R75 000 to Ivan du Plooy of The Krugersdorp Lions Club during a presentation ceremony on 29 October.

The Lions Club will use these funds to buy an eye testing machine which is an extremely ambitious humanitarian project.

Mauritz mentioned the success of the charity golf club is that they have a dedicated hard working committee, loyal golfing members that have taken ownership and generous sponsors.

“Our aim is to double our income during 2016 and will work even harder to achieve our goal, new sponsors and players are invited to join and help the club because when we play golf, charity wins,” Lombard Tyres’ Marketing and Communications Manager, Yolandi Heyns said.
