Alleged fraudster possibly from Krugersdorp
A woman asks for help to find an alleged fraudster living in our midst.
Members of the Krugersdorp Network Community page on Facebook has reason to believe that a fraudster might be living under their noses.
Jenny Preston Badenhorst took to the Facebook page after she realised that debt was made under her name.
“I urgently need your help. The woman in the picture has cloned my ID,” her post reads on the page.
Badenhorst discovered the woman had successfully opened two cell phone contracts on her name over the festive season, with the third one being declined.
The alleged fraudster also attempted to open a personal loan at a local bank, but with no luck.
She also attempted to open an account at the FNB in Foresthill last week.
“I am desperate to get a hold of this woman as the cell phone company gave her a contract containing all my personal details including an address and banking details.”
The News spoke to Badenhorst who said that she received information that the alleged fraudster is living in Lewisham and works at a local pub.
Badenhorst has opened a case of fraud at the Rustenburg Police Station, where the cell phone contracts where opened.
