A 33-year-old suspect was arrested last week following a complaint of an attempted murder incident last month.

“On arrival at the scene of the crime, police found a wounded victim. The victim told police two unknown men forced their entry into his shack by breaking down his door,” Kagiso Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer, Solomon Sibiya explained.
It is believed the victim was still asleep when one of the suspects allegedly fired a shot at him after breaking and entering.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound to his right hand and was later taken to Leratong Hospital to receive further medical treatment.
After police launched an investigation and a search for the suspects they received a tip-off about the suspect’s whereabouts.
Police pounced on the suspect who was arrested on 29 January.
The suspect has since been detained at the Kagiso police station and will has made a brief appearance in court.
