Two suspects spent Valentine's Day behind bars for breaking into a house.

A man arrived home on Valentine’s Day and found two house robbers cleaning out his house.

The suspects spent the day of love behind bars after they were arrested by the Krugersdorp police for house breaking and theft at a property in the CBD.

It is believed the resident saw two unknown male suspect exiting his house carrying bags as he arrived home.

“The suspects were caught red-handed by the owner when they broke into his house in Adolf Schneider Street on 14 February at around noon,” Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale explained.

Along with his son, the resident gave chase and informed the police who were patrolling in the area.

“The police chased the suspects and both were arrested and found with the stolen goods. Krugersdorp police’s acting Station Commander Colonel Jojisa would like to thank the community for a good working relationship with the police as well as the members who acted swiftly in arresting these suspects.”

Both suspects were apprehended and will make an appearance in court soon.
