Man shot while ‘relaxing’ with alleged prostitute

A 'relaxing' early morning romp in a car resulted in a man being shot, twice.

A pleasurable rendezvous between a client and an alleged prostitute quickly escalated when the client was shot and wounded.

An early morning ‘quick fix’ left a 46-year-old man seriously wounded at around 3.30am on 16 April at Coronation Park.

“It is alleged that the 46-year-old male was with a woman in his vehicle relaxing when they heard a knock on the window. Without warning, two unknown males started shooting at the vehicle,” Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale said.

The client, who allegedly picked up the alleged prostitute from a hotel in town, was shot in the stomach.

It is further believed that the two suspects then drove a short distance with the woman before leaving her stranded on the other side of the park before driving off.

The man was taken to Leratong Hospital for further medical treatment for the serious injuries he sustained.

Police are warning motorists to be vigilant when driving about at night and more importantly who they pick up on the road.

A case of attempted murder has since been registered and police are asking the community to come forward with any information that could assist the investigating officer in arresting the suspects involved.
