Management speak out after car theft spike
Extra security measures have been installed and implemented to ensure customers' safety.
The management of a shopping center which has been plagued with crime incidents lately would like to reassure the community that they have put in place extra security measurements following another attempted car theft.
Helen Haji-Pavlou of the center management spoke to News to address the recent crime spike in the area around the shopping center.
“We would like to ensure our customers that we have installed and enforced additional security measurement to the center,” Helen said.
The Anthos Center, better known as the Monument Checkers, was started back in 1963 and along with Rant-en-Dal Center both are being managed in Helen’s capable hands.
“We are very aware of the latest crime spree in Krugersdorp. Even though the vehicles stolen here recently was parked on municipal grounds, we have endeavor at extra cost to have security guarding these public areas around the center for the convenience of our loyal costumers at The Diner.”
In addition to the extra security guarding, special infrared cameras will also be installed around the center.
The center which is community orientated has also opened their doors to the Sector 4 Community Policing Forum where they offered office space for them to conduct their services from.
