Three robs elderly woman at knife point

Three suspects are still at large after robbing an elderly woman in broad daylight.

Three suspect fled on foot after robbing an elderly woman in her Wentworth Park home in broad daylight on Wednesday 19 April.

The elderly woman was in her home in the late afternoon when three unknown men entered her house through her back door.

The 80-year-old woman allegedly was held at knife point while the intruders searched her house for valuables.
“The suspects allegedly demanded money,” confirmed Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale.

After the suspects had grabbed her handbag, they fled on foot and disappeared into the bushes near the railway tracks.

The neighbours called the Sector 4 CPF on the two-way radio and they responded along with a reaction unit from Thompsons Security.

Three suspiciously looking passers-by were brought in and questioned but were released after they could not be linked to the robbery or identified by the victim.

Krugersdorp Police appeal to the community to assist with information that could identify and trace the suspects involved in this crime. Police are investigating a case of house robbery.
