Women caught with stolen goods
Two women were arrested and already appeared before the court.
Two women were arrested for possession of suspected stolen property they carried in a wheelbarrow, police said.
Constable Gloria Maswanganye, police spokesperson, said the arrest was made on Wednesday (13 April) in Hekpoort West after police were given information about the women pushing scrap and copper wire in a wheelbarrow.
The women, aged 45 and 52, could not give a reasonable explanation for carrying the scrap and copper wire with them.
The suspects appeared in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (14 April) and the case was postponed to 6 May.
