Taking a stand for unity
Residents came together to put an end to racism and unite in diversity.
Residents from all walks of life came together to take a stand against racism and unite in diversity.
The peaceful protest saw over 200 residents come together on the corner of Voortrekker Road and Paardekraal Drive on 16 April.
The residents celebrated the unity within a diverse town as Krugersdorp and also diminished racism.

“This stand is a funeral for racism,” one of the peaceful protesters said.
Posters with peace cries were displayed while they chanted for change.
‘No-one is born hating’, ‘We are over racism’ and ‘We are one’, were just some of the messages displayed on the day.
The event was blessed with scripture and prayer for the residents of Krugersdorp and also for our rainbow nation.
Next followed the singing of the national anthem which set the mood and tone of the event for the day.

Motorists passing hooted, waved and cheered to show their support.
“This was really an awesome event by Mogale4Christ. There was not one negative aspect to the event,” Melody van Brakel, who supported the event along with her residents from The Cradle of Hope, said.
