Owner wakes up to ridiculous sight

Revenge of the estate agent? A resident in Swallow Street woke up to one of the biggest prank's the town has ever seen.

A resident in Swallow Street woke up this morning and found his front lawn completely decorated with ‘for sale’ sign boards and even a stop sign.

Johan Roos had a rude awakening by phone call from his neighbour asking if his house was for sale or if it was simply an over the top prank.

A stolen stop sign and street sign were also planted in Johan's front lawn.

Over 20 ‘for sale’ boards from different estate agencies were posted all along the lawn in front of his house.

His neighbour then informed him of the chaotic scene on his front lawn which seemed to have appeared over night.

Johan, however, told the News that his wife said this morning after the discovery that she thought she heard a bakkie last night in the street but thought nothing of it.

He believes this might be a prank by rebellious teens because he doesn’t think he has any enemies.

But the pranksters did not stop there. They stole the Leeu/ Stirling Street sign board along with a stop sign and planted at the entrance of his property.

Johan laughed when the News asked if he had any queries with regards to selling his house, on which he simply replied that the house was not for sale.
