Where vintage and vinyl meet
Elvis, AC/DC and other golden oldies were found at a local vinyl fair.
It was a rendezvous for vintage lovers. Residents from all over came in search of old treasures.
At the back of Die Boomhuisie restaurant, in a secluded room, the sound of ‘old school’ music drew young and old to the Vintage Vinyl Fair on 29 May.
Baskets filled with old LP vinyls of all sorts were definitely the attraction of day as treasure seekers went from table to table in search of some good music.

Some of the vinyls flew off the tables at ridiculous prices, for example R10 a vinyl, while the collectible titles went for as much as R1 000.
Vinyls produced by various artists, including Roxette, Elvis, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, Smokey and the Springbok Nude Girls (to name just a few) were sold.
In the corner, a stall with vintage handbags, clothing, sewing machines and other items drew the attention of the women at the fair.
Smiling customers left the fair with their hands filled with treasures, and their wallets a little emptier.
