Protest causes traffic mayhem
This morning a protest had traffic at a standstill and this afternoon another protest started in Muldersdrift.
Reports of protest action near Leratong Hospital has flooded Twitter this morning.
The protest, allegedly about service delivery, has caused roads to be blocked off and traffic to get backed up heavily this morning.
Traffic reports this morning advised drivers to take alternative routes to Johannesburg, but even those were said to be backed up. Some reports stated that doctors were not able to access the hospital this morning.
It is not clear if the roads are still closed.

The News is also aware of a protest in action on the R540, also known as the Kromdraai road, in Muldersdrift. The employees of a hotel are demanding an increase and “public holidays, meal allowance and overtime payment”.
