RFKC Krugersdorp celebrates annual golf day
Krugersdorp's RFKC hosted its annual golf day at the Krugersdorp Golf Course, raising funds for abused, neglected and traumatised children.
The Royal Family Kids’ Camp (RFKC) in Krugersdorp celebrated its annual golf day on Tuesday 7 June, and it was a raging success.
RFKC Krugersdorp was established in 2014 to assist abused, neglected and traumatised children in changing their perspective of the world, and to re-instill a positive view on families. The purpose of the golf day was to raise funds for these children.

“I believe that if you want to change the future of this country, you need to invest in our children,” Richard de Winnaar, organiser of the event and director of RFKC Krugersdorp, said.
According to Richard, there was an overwhelming response this year, and 28 teams participated in the golf day at Krugersdorp Golf Club, compared to the 16 teams at last year’s day. Richard attributes this success to a recent partnership between RFKC and RBi Consult. Rinus Brink, RBi Consult team leader, says this golf day is just the beginning of a five-year plan they have developed to grow and become self-sustainable.

All the teams teed-off simultaneously at noon, at different holes, with four employees from each company swinging into action.
The winning team was made up of Gustave Schoombee, Abrie Laas, Dawie Spies Jnr en Pieta van der Merwe.
