Catholic Church hosts third annual clean-house sale
With stalls ranging from collectables to a doggy parlour, this year's sale caters to a wide range of clientele.
The Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Krugersdorp is once again hosting its annual clean-house sale on 25 June from 8am, and everyone is welcome.
Stalls that will be available on the day will range from food and beverages to keep the shoppers going, to pretty much anything that you can think of – the list is extensive.
Members of the parish have been donating goods for the past few months, and members of the public are encouraged to do the same. The idea behind the sale is that “one man’s rubbish is another man’s treasure”, so if you have been threatening to spring-clean your garage, now is the time to do so.
This tradition was set in motion by the parish priest, Father Ignatius Fidgeon, three years ago, and entails that members of the parish, as well as the community, donate their unwanted goods to the church.
These goods are then sold and the funds raised are given to the church.
