Cars of Krugersdorp: 1931 Pontiac Cabriolet
How much do you really know about the golden oldies driving around on the streets of Krugersdorp?
This week’s golden oldie car is a 1931 Pontiac Cabriolet, a convertible, which Vic Hattingh has owned for 12 years.
The car stood for eight years before being restored. Since its restoration, the son of the original owner has approached Vic with the intention of buying it back.

Some interesting facts:
• This may be the only car of its kind in the country
• The car has a three-speed manual gearbox, with no synchromesh (a system in modern cars that makes gear changes smoother and easier)
• The car is powered by a six-cylinder side-valve 3,3litre motor
