Alleged wanted murderers busted
Two suspects were arrested following an attacked on a couple in their home on Youth Day.
Muldersdrift Police arrested two of their most wanted house robbers and murderers yesterday after an intense investigation.
Two suspects aged 34 and 39 were arrested on 7 July at 4pm following an incident on Youth Day.
“It’s believed the two attacked a man and woman in their home in the early hours of 16 June. The intruders shot the 26-years-old man multiple times and then shot the woman in the lower body when they failed to hand over cash,” Muldersdrift Police spokesperson,” Warrant Officer Hitler Ngwenya said.

Fortunately the woman managed to escape and hopped nearly a kilometre to get help from the neighbours.
The intruders, who allegedly fled by foot, nabbed electrical appliances and other household items.
On arrival at the scene, the 26-year-old man was declared dead by paramedics and his female friend was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The case docket was allocated to detectives Sergeant Sam Manana and Constable Mncedisi Bambiso who worked tirelessly with members of the community to gather information of the whereabouts of the two murderers.
“An awareness campaign was conducted in Lammermoore in the Muldersdrift area by the West Rand Cluster Communication Social Crime officials. Other stakeholders played a major role when suspects were identified and apprehended.”
The suspects will be charged and will appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court facing house robbery and murder charges.
The acting Station Commander of Muldersdrift Police, Captain Boetie David Phiri applauded the dedication and commitment exercised by the detectives for their outstanding investigative job and all role players that led to arrest of the two suspects.
“These arrests will go a long way to ensure the safety of our communities in Muldersdrift and the whole of the West Rand Cluster,” Captain Phiri said.
