ATM bombed to pieces
Four suspects are at large after bombing an ATM and fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.
A loud bang in the early hours of the morning was followed by four suspects fleeing the scene in a silver Ford Ranger after bombing an ATM.
Police were called to a Standard Bank ATM in Munsieville next to the Nobela Bottle Store, after an ATM was blown up at 2.45am yesterday (13 July).
“It is alleged that four unknown males driving a silver Ford Ranger with unknown registration number plates detonated an explosive device at the ATM machine, gaining access to the cash. The suspects removed an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene,” Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale said.
No arrests have yet been made.
