Where does your fat go?
According to basic chemistry, matter can neither be created nor destroyed. So what actually happens to the body fat during weight-loss?

You have been working out at the gym and following your diet plan to the letter – and you are finally seeing results. But what happens inside your body when you lose the weight?
According to the results of a study by the British Medical Journal doctors and other healthcare practitioners found that a high number of those who were surveyed, thought that fat was converted to energy or heat.
But this is not true. According to basic chemistry, matter can neither be created nor destroyed. So what actually happens to the fat?
Ruben Meerman, a physicist and ABC Catalyst reporter, said that 80 per cent of the fat leaves the body through your lungs, while the other 20 per cent is released through water in the form of sweat, urine, tears and other bodily fluids.
So when you think about it, the phrase used by most personal trainers and gym enthusiasts, “Sweat is fat crying”, may have some truth after all.
