Jumping for success

Krugersdorp High School pupils excel in horse riding.

Jorden Smith and Tamryn Thorpe, pupils at Krugersdorp High School, have excelled at recent equestrian competitions.

Jorden, a Grade 8 pupil, has been selected for the Gauteng West A team in showjumping. She will participate in the national championships later in the year.

Tamryn, a Grade 11 pupil, participated in the Western Nationals early in July, winning the youth championships for Freestyle Reigning.

This is an outstanding achievement considering that all riders who participate in these championships are from clubs within South Africa.
