Beating 70 girls to the title, Awande Dube walked away with the Miss JAFFAE 2016 award on Thursday, 4 August at the Bryanston Country Club. Johannesburg Academy For Finishing and Etiquette (JAFFAE) is a finishing school that helps teenage girls with various aspects of self development.
The Academy awards the Miss JAFFAE title to their pupils. Some of the criteria for the award are feedback from the lecturers, participation in class, application of various JAFFAE skills and personal growth from the beginning of the course to its end.
The Maragon Private School pupil enrolled for the 20-week course and made her school and her community proud.
“She truly embraced this unique opportunity that was given to her and was fully committed to making this course a life-changing experience,” said JAFFAE principal Anri van der Linde.
