Former KHS pupil selected for PHL

He is one of 130 players who were invited nationally to participate in the league.

Brandon James, who matriculated from Krugersdorp High School last year, has been selected to play in the Premier Hockey League (PHL).

The PHL will be running over four weekends, starting on Saturday 3 September until Sunday 25 September. Brandon will play for the Drakensberg Dragons side.

The PHL forms part of the South African Hockey Association (SAHA) high-performance pipeline, which is aimed at better equipping the national men’s and women’s teams for international competition.

The aim of the tournament is to prepare the national age groups for the FIH Junior World Cup scheduled for later this year.
