KHS Head Girl earns double gold

Alyssa van der Merwe, Krugersdorp High School’s Head Girl, recently qualified to compete in the SA JKA National Tournament after achieving a double gold for Youth Elite Girls’ Kata and Kumite.

Her achievements in what is known as the Black Belt Divisions earned her SA JKA Gauteng colours.

Alyssa therefore qualified to compete in the SA JKA National Tournament, in which she achieved silver and bronze medals for Youth Elite Girls’ Kata and Kumite respectively, and earned her SA JKA National colours.
