Maragon’s cross-country success
Maragon Avianto hosted over 30 primary schools from the Johannesburg area in a cross-country event.
Maragon Avianto recently hosted a northern cluster cross-country running competition at its Avianto Lifestyle Estate in Muldersdrift for over 30 primary schools from the Johannesburg area.
The participants showed excitement and enthusiasm at the starting line and ran with this enthusiasm all the way to the finish line. Over 1 000 pupils participated in the race.

The programme included boys and girls from as young as U/7 all the way to U/14. The U/7 to U/10 participants ran a 2km stretch, the U/11s and U/12s ran 3km, and the U/13s and U/14s ran a lengthy 4km race.
Monica de Beer, Maragon Avianto’s principal, sincerely hopes that the children enjoyed their nature run on the edge of the Cradle of Humankind.

“There’s nothing like the beautiful views and fresh air to get hearts pumping and spirits soaring,” she said.
