KHS wins annual Prestige Tournament
KHS’ hockey boys have ended their season on a high note by winning the Prestige Tournament.
After losing their first game and tying their second, Krugersdorp High School’s (KHS) open hockey boys have ended their season on a high note as they’ve managed to win the Prestige Tournament.
The team played their first game on Monday, 22 August, against Noordheuwel High School, and lost 2–1. On Wednesday, 24 August, the boys took on Randburg High School and beat them 9–0. They won their next match against Transvalia High School with a score of 2–1.
The boys met Transvalia again in the quarterfinals and beat them 1–0. A nail-biter of a game was played against Monument High School in the semifinals. and the game went into extra time. The KHS team won on one-on-ones.
The nail-biting trend continued as KHS played their neighbours, Noordheuwel High, in the finals. This game also went into extra time, with the Krugersdorp team emerging victorious.
