Curro Krugersdorp’s culture department is quickly growing as more Curro pupils reach great heights.
The school’s Grade 8 pupils recently participated in the RACA arts festival for the first time, and came out victorious. The Afrikaans group received a diamond certificate (equivalent to a score of 95 per cent) for their performance of their poem, entitled Tweestryd.
Inspired by one of Maya Angelou’s poems, So I rise, the English group achieved a gold certificate (equivalent to a score of 84 per cent). Both groups fascinated the judges with their performances and made their school proud.
