Awesomely African at Maragon

Maragons' pupils celebrated Heritage Month in style with an Awesome Africa concert.

The pupils of Maragon Private Schools celebrated our beautiful continent with an Awesome Africa performance that ran from Tuesday, 13 September to Friday, 16 September.

With guidance from their teachers, the talented and dedicated Maragon pupils put together a five-star production. The Foundation Phase took the audience on an African Safari which included the Big Five, after which the Intersen Phase (Grades 4–7) illustrated the unique bond shared by Africans through sport and culture. The most treasured item was the performance of a song by the late Mandoza that featured in the concert.

“I couldn’t be more proud of the teachers and pupils for the enthusiasm and passion that they have displayed in putting this concert together in just one week,” said the head mistress, Mrs Kennedy.
